Privacy

Effective October 19, 2026. SnuggleShelf is operated by CGHM Associates LLC, Illinois, USA.

The short version

What we collect

Who can see it

The grown-ups you invite to your shelf can see the kids' nicknames, your books and your reading history. A recap link you choose to share shows that recap's numbers and book titles to anyone with the link, until it expires after 30 days or you turn it off. Shared recaps never include photos, grown-ups' names, or a child's name unless you type one in.

Book searches go to Open Library to find titles and covers; we send the search words, not anything about your family. We use service providers to host the app, send email and take payments (Stripe handles card details; we never see or store your card number), only to run SnuggleShelf.

Deleting your data

Go to Family → Account & sign-in → Delete my account. If you're the only grown-up on your shelf, the whole shelf and its history are deleted. You can also email hello@snuggleshelf.com and we'll do it for you.

Children's privacy

SnuggleShelf is directed to parents and caregivers, not to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information about a child is entered by their grown-up and kept to the minimum needed for the app to work.
